Hi all! How many of you like hummus? Hummus is the quintessential Middle Eastern dip or spread made by blending cooked, mashed chickpeas with tahini, garlic, and citrus juice. It is popularly eaten with pita bread as an appetizer. It is know to be a great source of protien and is also known to promote weight loss. I am sharing 3 different variations of delicious hummus you can make at home easily. Check it out. Ingredients: Chick peas 1 tbsp tahini paste 2-3 garlic cloves Beet root (for beetroot humus) Pumpkin purée (for pumpkin humus) Basic Hummus preparation Take a chick peas soaked in water overnight, cook it till it is soft, add 1 tbsp tahini paste, 2-3 garlic cloves and grind it. Pour it out in a bowl. Basic hummus is ready and garnish it with chick peas. Beetroot Hummus preparation Take a chick peas soaked in water overnight, cook it till it is soft, add 1 tbsp tahini paste, 2-3 garlic cloves, add boiled beetroot and grind it. Pour it out in a bowl. Beetroot hummus is ready and garnish it with olive oil. Pumpkin Hummus preparation Take a chick peas soaked in water overnight, cook it till it is soft, add 1 tbsp tahini paste, 2-3 garlic cloves, squeeze lemon juice, add pumpkin puree and grind it.
